This airplane is a long distance ship airplane developed according to specification N.11/44 that Royal navy demanded in 1944. This was the last fixed-wing aircraft at the westland company, and It was the first ship airplane in the world equipped with the turboprop engine. However, the go into commission period was short due to the mistake of the design and the slump of the engine.
